Chocolate And Wafer Cake

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Add the butter to a bowl and use a wooden spoon to cream it. Add the egg yolks and mix well.
  3. Add the sugar, cocoa powder, Marsala, flour, baking powder, and wafers. Mix well.
  4. Beat the egg whites to stiff peaks with a pinch of salt. Incorporate into the batter by folding them in carefully.
  5. Butter and flour a round 22-centimeter springform pan. Pour the batter inside. Level it with the back of the spoon.
  6. Bake the cake for approximately 35 to 40 minutes, then allow it to cool.
  7. Turn the cake out onto a cake dish and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
