Whole Wheat Cheese & Herb Biscuits
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 4 tablespoons fresh dill finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons parsley finely chopped
- 5 tablespoons butter cold and cut into pieces
- 1 cup white cheddar cheese plus a bit more for topping, shredded
- 1 cup swiss cheese shredded
- 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese shredded
- 3/4 cup milk
- In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, paprika, mustard, sugar, salt and dill.
- Add butter using a pastry blender. Mix into larger crumbles.
- Add cheese and garlic and cut into finer crumbly bits.
- Start by incorporating half of the milk and mixing together lightly with a spoon. Add remainder until dough comes together.
- Drop dough onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Top each biscuit with a tiny bit of cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for 15-17 minutes.
