Chili And Chocolate Cake

  1. Line a springform cake tin (21 centimeters) with parchment paper or grease well with butter. Set aside.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180C.
  3. Break up the chocolate and butter into small pieces and place in a microwaveable bowl.
  4. Melt the chocolate and butter in the microwave on medium, stopping every minute to stir.
  5. Add the sugar and allow to cool.
  6. Add the eggs, one at a time, while stirring continuously.
  7. Add the flour, salt, allspice, and chili. Stir with a spatula and mix well.
  8. Place into the cake tin and bake for 25 minutes. (The center will appear slightly soft.)
  9. Serve warm and sprinkled with cocoa powder.
  10. Alternatively, sprinkle with a mixture of cocoa powder and chili.
