Organic Fourth Of July Brownies
- 9 ounces semi sweet chocolate chips organic
- 4 ounces organic butter 1 stick
- 3/4 cup organic sugar
- 2 ounces white flour organic
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/2 baking powder
- 2 free range eggs organic
- 1/2 vanilla optional
- 3 tablespoons brandy
- 4 ounces walnuts organic, well chopped
- Preheat oven to 367 degrees.
- Grease a 9x9 baking pan, and put into a big piece of parchment paper so that it sticks up over the sides of the pan.
- Put the chocolate chips and butter into a porcelain dish and zap for about 1 1/2 minutes. Stir to mix well, making sure the chips are reasonably melted.
- Stir in the sugar.
- Then Stir in the flour.
- Then stir in the eggs, one at a time.
- Add the vanilla and brandy.
- Add walnuts.
- Pour into the pan and bake for about 30 minutes.
- As soon as you can, using the sticking-up parchment paper, lift the brownies out onto a cooling rack. When cool, transfer to a cutting board and cut carefully into squares. I like my brownies small, but any size you like is okay. Also, I always trim off the outside edges before cutting the brownies so that they are all uniform. My family really enjoys munching on the edge bits I cut off.
