Stir Fried Pork In Lettuce Cups
- 1 head iceberg lettuce
- 2 teaspoons oil
- 3 green onions finely sliced
- 2 teaspoons ginger grated
- 1 pound lean ground pork
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- cilantro leaves
- bean sprouts
- Select 8 large lettuce leaves and trim with scissors, if necessary. Place in a large bowl filled with iced water, until crisp.
- Heat oil in a wok on high heat. Stir-fry onions and ginger for 1-2 mins, until fragrant. Add ground pork and cook for 5 mins, stirring to break up lumps, until cooked through. Add oyster sauce, soy sauce and sesame oil and stir-fry for 2-3 mins more. Transfer to a serving bowl.
- Drain lettuce leaves and pat dry. Spoon pork mixture into each lettuce leaf. Top with bean sprouts and cilantro. To eat, fold over leaves to enclose filling.
