Holiday String Bean Casserole
- 3 pkg. frozen French-cut string beans, cooked and drained
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 pt. sour cream
- 1 medium onion, chopped finely
- dash of garlic salt
- 1/2 lb. Swiss cheese, grated
- 1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 1/2 c. crushed cornflakes
- 2 Tbsp. melted butter
- Combine 2 tablespoons butter, flour, salt, pepper, sugar, sour cream, grated onion and garlic salt in saucepan.
- Cook until thickened.
- Mix sauce with beans and pour into buttered casserole. Cover with grated cheeses.
- Top with crushed cornflakes.
- Drizzle melted butter on top.
- Bake at 400u0b0 for 20 minutes or until bubbly.
