Carmelitas Bar
- 2 cups oats
- 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup melted butter
- 2 1/2 cups chips semi sweet choc
- 50 caramels soft, unwrapped
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Preheat the oven to 350F/175C
- In a large bowl, combine the oats, flour, sugar, baking soda, salt and butter. Mix until a crumbly consistency
- Line a 9x13 bakin pan with parchment paper + lightly coat with a nonstick spray
- Pour 1./2 of the mixture onto the pan and save the other half
- Pour 2 cups of choc chips over the misture
- In a saucepan melt the caramels and add the heavy cream until its smooth
- Pour it over the mixture until the choc chips are covered
- Pour the rest of the oat mixture then the rest of the choc chips
- Bake for 20-25 mins or until crust has turned golden brown
- Cool down and cut into bars
