Doritos Chicken Strips
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 bag doritos any flavor
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper optional
- 4 eggs
- cooking spray optional
- Cut chicken into thin strips, about 1/2 inch.
- Put chicken in a bowl & pour in the buttermilk.
- Stir to coat the chicken, then cover bowl and refrigerate for about 2 hours.
- Crush the Doritos so the texture resembles coarse bread crumbs. Set aside.
- Place flour & cayenne pepper, if using, in one bowl & eggs in another. Whisk eggs so they are well scrambled.
- Preheat over to 400F & spray baking sheet/dish with cooking spray, if using.
- Set up the bowls: 1.. bowl with the chicken; 2. bowl with flour; 3. bowl with beaten eggs; 4. bowl with crushed Doritos.
- Drain excess buttermilk off chicken and place in the flour. Once well coated, shake off excess flour & place in the eggs. Then place in crushed Doritos.
- Once completely coated, place chicken on baking sheet/dish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, turning halfway through.
