Quick-N-Easy Turkey Chili
- 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 package ground turkey 93/7, or beef
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 onion
- 1 red bell pepper
- 1 1/2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 6 tablespoons green chilis diced
- 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
- 1 crushed red pepper
- 15 ounces reduced sodium black beans
- 16 ounces red kidney beans reduced-sodium dark
- 1 packet low sodium chili seasoning mix
- Heat a large pan on stove at medium heat.
- Add olive oil and let that heat up.
- Add lean ground turkey and brown on both sides, being careful not to overcook.
- Add remaining ingredients and incorporate everything together, stirring occasionally.
- Turn up the heat and bring chili to a boil.
- Cover chili, lower heat, and simmer for another 30-35 minutes.
