Steak W/ Marinara, Mozzarella, & Peppadew Peppers

  1. Allow your steak to sit for at least 30 minutes on counter top to bring to room temperature.
  2. Then season your steaks on both sides with lawrys season salt, garlic powder, and salt & pepper.
  3. Throw a dash of worcestershire in a few spots on both sides of the steaks.
  4. Pre-heat your cast iron skillet on medium-high for a few minutes.
  5. Add your butter to your cast iron skillet it will be HOT and melt quickly.
  6. Add your steak to the cast iron skillet with your rosemary. Depending on the thickness of your steaks and your desired temperature cook the minutes for 4-6 minutes on each side.
  7. Add your marinara to a pot and heat on medium-low heat.
  8. Remove your steaks and add them to a cutting board.
  9. Add your think sliced mozzarella to each step. I added 5-6 slices of mozzarella to each steak.
  10. Now cover the steaks with foil and let sit for at least 5-10 minutes so the cheese melts and the juices redistribute throughout the steak.
  11. The steaks will continue to cook while sitting on the cutting board so make sure you don't over cook your steaks in the cast iron skillet.
  12. Once cheese has melted cut your steak at an angle.
  13. Spread your marinara down the center of your plate, top with sliced steak with the melted cheese, top with peppadew peppers and add a sprig of rosemary for presentation.
