Mustard-Cabbage Relish

  1. Shred
  2. cabbage.
  3. Chop
  4. peppers, celery and onions.
  5. Put mustard seed
  6. and
  7. spices
  8. in
  9. a loose cheesecloth tied with a string or
  10. plastictire tie.
  11. Boil all ingredients in a large dishpan for
  12. 30
  13. minutes or until the cabbage is tender.
  14. Stir as ittooks to evenly distribute the mustard.
  15. Mix 1/2 cup of flour and
  16. 1
  17. cup
  18. of water to make a thin paste.
  19. Add to mixture.
  20. Stir until
  21. thickened.tour into jars rinsed with hot water and seal. Especially good on hot dogs.
