Spaghetti Sauce & Sausage
- 2 pounds ground beef chuck
- 2 pounds mild Italian sausage
- 96 ounces spaghetti sauce
- 24 ounces tomato sauce with tomato bits
- 24 ounces tomato sauce
- salt
- pepper
- garlic
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons italian seasonings
- 3 pounds spaghetti
- Cook ground beef in a large saucepan with salt, pepper and garlic salt.
- Add spaghetti sauce, tomato bits and tomato sauce, sugar and Italian seasoning.
- Cut sausage into 2 inch pieces and add to sauce.
- Simmer about 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Skim fat as it accumulates.
- Cook spaghetti according to package directions.
- Remove sausage from sauce.
- Ladle sauce on individual servings of cooked spaghetti and add portions of sausage.
- Serves 25.
