American Ribs With Butter Basting Sauce

  1. Mix together the dry ingredients
  2. Pour lemon juice over the ribs
  3. Rub spices onto ribs
  4. Cook ribs bone-side down on indirect heat (about 250 degrees) for at least 3 hours
  5. Mix together the basting sauce (butter, 1/4 cup brown sugar, honey, and apple juice) and brush on to ribs 20 minutes before removing from heat
  6. Go over top of ribs with a chef's torch to caramelize sauce immediately before serving
