Double Chocolate Cookies

  1. Heat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. In large mixer bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt.
  4. Gradually blend into creamed mixture.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts.
  6. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake 8 to 9 minutes at 350u0b0.
  8. Do not overbake; cookies will be soft.
  9. They will puff while baking and flatten while cooling.
  10. Cool sightly; remove from cookie sheet onto wire rack.
  11. Cool completely.
  12. Makes about 4 1/2 dozen.
