Chicken With Grilled Onions And Sumac

  1. Boil the chicken (with seasonings) and shred.
  2. Combine chopped onions & 1/2 of the sumac seasoning and the olive oil in a saucepan; caramelize the onions.
  3. Add the remainder of the seasoning to the chicken.
  4. Combine chicken with onions and cook for about 5 minutes
  5. Place chicken on the dough and fold to any shape you prefer. Press tight so chicken stays in. Brush with eggs- I like to be generous with the eggs on top to give it beautiful golden color
  6. Preheat oven to 375 Fahrenheit. Bake about 20 minutes, or until golden.
