Chocolate Cake Pie
- 1 deep dish pie crust
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup cocoa
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup pecans chopped
- 1 cup flour sifted
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup butter softened
- 1 egg slightly beaten
- non dairy topping Whipped, thawed
- chocolate syrup
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Mix together 1/2 cup sugar, cocoa, 1/4 cup milk, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, and the nuts.
- Set aside.
- Mix together butter and remaining sugar until blended.
- Beat in egg and vanilla.
- Sift together flour and baking powder; add to creamed mixture along with milk.
- Spread chocolate mixture into bottom of pie shell.
- Spread batter over chocolate.
- Bake on a preheated cookie sheet until toothpick inserted comes out clean, about 40 to 45 minutes.
- Cool completely.
- Serve with
