Mary'S Casserole
- 8 oz. pkg. noodles
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 16 oz. tomato sauce
- 1 c. cottage cheese
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 Tbsp. chopped green pepper (optional)
- 2 Tbsp. melted butter
- Cook noodles; drain and coat noodles with butter.
- Brown meat, onion and green pepper in butter; stir in tomato sauce.
- Mix cheeses and sour cream.
- In greased casserole, place a layer of noodles, then a layer of meat mixture and a layer of cheese mixture.
- Continue layering until used, ending with a layer of cheese mixture.
- Bake in uncovered casserole at 350u0b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
- This casserole can be assembled a day ahead, refrigerated and baked just before serving.
