Iowa Sloppy Joe Dip
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 cup unsalted beef stock Kitchen Basics(R), Substitutions available unsalted beef broth
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 package sloppy joe seasoning mix McCormick(R)
- 1/2 cup whipped cream cheese
- 2 cups jack cheese shredded Cheddar, divided
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F. Brown ground beef and onion in large skillet on medium-high heat. Drain fat. Stir in stock, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce and Seasoning Mix. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 10 minutes or until stock is absorbed, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Stir in cream cheese and 1 cup of the shredded cheese.
- Spoon into 2-quart baking dish. Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup shredded cheese.
- Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted. Garnish with pickle slices and chopped onions, if desired. Serve with wavy potato chips or mini toasts.
