Vegetarian Chocolate Chip Cookies

  1. Heat oven to 375u0b0.
  2. Mix shortening, sugars, yogurt and vanilla thoroughly.
  3. Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting.
  4. (For a softer, more rounded cookie, add 1/4 cup more flour.)
  5. Stir dry ingredients together; blend in.
  6. Mix in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop rounded teaspoonfuls of dough about 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet.
  8. Bake 8 to 10 minutes or until delicately browned. (Cookies should still be soft.)
  9. Cool slightly before removing from baking sheet.
  10. Makes about 4 to 5 dozen cookies.
