Anise Sugar Cookies

  1. In a large bowl beat butter and sugar till blended and creamy. Beat in all eggs, vanilla and anise extract.
  2. On low speed, beat in flour and baking powder.Shape dough into 4 balls and wrap each ball in plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Then roll out each ball between 2 sheets of wax paper and freeze.Putting them onto a large cookie sheet works for the freezer.
  3. Freeze overnight or up to 2 weeks longer, if not making them then. Cut out cookies with cookie cutters,
  4. You may put colored sugars, etc on the cookies) cook for 8-12 minutes. Re-roll scraps and refreeze.
