Chocolate Swirl Cupcakes

  1. Preheat oven to 180u0b0C (approximately 350u0b0F).
  2. Line wells of muffin tin with paper liners.
  3. Beat butter with sugar until creamy and smooth, about 2 minutes.
  4. Add eggs one at a time and mix well after each addition, until they are completely blended.
  5. Add flour, salt and baking powder and stir just until batter is smooth.
  6. Use a spoon to fill each cupcake mold 3/4 full.
  7. In a separate bowl, mix chocolate powder with a little milk to create a chocolate paste.
  8. Top each cupcake with 1 teaspoon chocolate paste and stir in a decorative swirl with a toothpick.
  9. Bake in preheated oven for about 20 minutes
