Almond Pie

  1. Knead flour and butter until soft dough forms.
  2. Add remaining ingredients.
  3. Knead well.
  4. Dust with flour so that dough doesn't stick to hands.
  5. Line removable bottom plate of a springform pan with dough.
  6. Preheat oven to 180u0b0C (approximately 350u0b0F).
  7. Refrigerate for about 10 minutes.
  8. Melt butter and mix with sugar, eggs, ground almonds, lemon zest and juice.
  9. Pour mixture into pan. Bake in preheated oven for about 10 minutes.
  10. Remove and sprinkle with slivered almonds.
  11. Return to oven and bake until golden for about 10 additional minutes.
  12. Let cool in pie dish.
  13. Carefully remove from pan.
