Pan De Jamon
- 4 cups flour
- 1/2 active dry yeast package, Fermipan or Vahine
- 4 15/16 tablespoons butter
- 1 eggs
- 5 5/8 tablespoons sugar
- 2/3 cup milk
- 1 3/4 cups ham
- 7/8 pound bacon
- 5/8 cup raisins
- 1/2 cup pitted olives
- 1 egg yolks + brown sugar to glaze
- Mix all dough ingredients.
- Program bread machine for 15 seconds at speed 4 and then program it for 3 minutes at spike speed.
- Let rise until dough doubles in volume.
- Roll out dough with a rolling pin into a rectangle.
- Arrange slices of ham in a layer.
- Top ham layer with bacon slices.
- Sprinkle olives and raisins evenly over bacon.
- Beginning on the narrower side, roll up dough.
- Place the roll on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in preheated oven at 180u0b0C (approximately 350u0b0F) for 1 hour.
- While still warm, brush with egg yolk and sugar.
- Bake for 3-4 additional minutes. Serve warm.
