Karen'S Swiss Steak

  1. Have meat put through cuber at meat department once.
  2. Cut into serving pieces.
  3. Dip in flour and brown in vegetable oil; salt and pepper if desired.
  4. Remove meat from frying pan and put in 9 x 13-inch pan.
  5. Prepare packet of au jus according to directions and add to drippings in frying pan.
  6. To this add soups, water and milk. Heat through and mix well.
  7. Pour over meat.
  8. Cover tightly and bake at 325u0b0 for 2 hours or until meat is very tender.
  9. If using 2 pieces of meat, you may need larger pan and extra water or milk.
