Beef Patties With Bacon And Mushrooms

  1. Place the ground beef in a bowl with the onions, egg and cheese. Stir to mix, then knead to combine thoroughly. Shape into 8 patties.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan, fry the bacon lardons and mushrooms for 3 mins. Remove from the heat and stir in the thyme leaves and breadcrumbs. Set aside.
  3. Preheat the oven to 325u0b0F. Heat the remaining oil in a frying pan, and fry the patties for 3-4 mins each side (you may need to do this batches).
  4. Place the patties on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, top with the bacon and mushroom mixture. Bake for 5 mins. Serve with potato wedges and a tomato salad, if liked.
