Lemon Mascarpone Cardamom Bars

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F and line a 13X9 inch pan with foil so that the foil spills over the sides.
  2. In stand mixer, cream butter and sugar. Then beat in eggs and flour.
  3. Stir in nuts. Set 2 cups mixture aside for topping. Pat mixture down and bake crust for 15 minutes.
  4. Whisk filling ingredients together, pour filling on crust and sprinkle reserved crust mixture on top.
  5. Lower oven tempature to 325 and bake for 30 minutes, or until a inserted knife comes out clean.
  6. Cut into desired size of bars.
  7. Boun dolce!
