Autumn’S Apple Crumble
- 8 apples medium size, peeled, cored and sliced
- 1 cup raisins
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 cup cornflake cereal crunched toasted
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons ap flour
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Butter ceramic tart plate and set aside.
- In a large bowl toss together apples, raisins and sugar.
- In separate bowl combine all ingredients called for the crumble. Mix with hands or fork, until crumbly.
- Align the apple mixture at the bottom of tart dish and sprinkle crumble over the top.
- Bake for about 30 minutes or until crumb topping is browned and apples are bubbling around the sides.
- Remove and let cool on a cooling rack.
- Serve with whipped cream if desired.
