Ina Mae'S Gingerbread

  1. Preheat oven to 350
  2. Cream together the sugar and butter
  3. Add eggs one at a time to the creamed mixture, creaming well after each addition.
  4. Add sorghum to creamed mixture
  5. 1.tift together (I don't have a sifter. You can lift the flour with a spoon several times to loosen it so that is isn't packed down, and spoon lightly into the cup, then level) then mix all of the dry ingredients.
  6. 2.tdd to creamed mixture and mix until flour disappears.
  7. Add 1 Cup hot water into mixture
  8. tour mixture into pan that has a bottom lined with ungreased wax paper, or parchment paper, or I grease with butter then coat with flour.
  9. tprinkle top with 6 T sugar and 2 teaspoons ground cloves
  10. take at 350 for 25 minutes
