Broccoli Rabe With Sausage Pizza
- 1/3 broccoli rabe
- 1 italian sausage link of Your favorite, or equivelent of ground
- 4 cloves garlic minched
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt add more to taste
- grated romano
- mozzarella sliced
- 1 portabella mushroom large
- crushed red pepper flakes optional
- Thinly slice portabelo mushrooms and saute in a medium to large skillet on medium low heat in 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Add salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste. Saute until mushrooms become tender. Transfer to small bowl.
- Blanche brocoli rabe whole, drain cool and chop. In a small skillet add chopped garlic, 2 tbsp olive oil and broccoli rabe and saute. Transfer to a small bowl
- Place 14 inch round parchment paper on pizza peel.
- Stretch the dough and place on parchment paper.
- Evenly spread portabela mushrooms over dough.
- Tear your sliced mozzarella into small pieces and place around the mushrooms but do not cover them.
- Spread broccoli rabe and garlic mixture evenly on pizza.
- Sprinkle with romano cheese.
- Sprinkle red pepper if desired.
- Insert into preheated oven. Average cook time 8 mins with pizza dome, much longer without.
