Cracker Jack Cookies
- 2 sticks oleo (1 c.), softened
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1 c. lightly packed brown sugar (when measuring, spoon it lightly in cup)
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. soda
- 2 c. old-fashioned oatmeal
- 1 c. coconut
- 2 c. Rice Krispies
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
- Thoroughly cream together oleo and sugars; add eggs and vanilla.
- Mix well.
- Sift together flour, baking powder and soda.
- Combine flour and egg mixture; add oatmeal, coconut, cereal and nuts and mix well.
- Drop by heaping teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet.
- Bake for about 10 minutes or until brown.
- Remove from baking sheet immediately.
- Makes 6 dozen.
