Broccoli-Sausage Quiche
- 1 (9-inch) unbaked pie shell
- 4 Brown 'N Serve sausage links, cut into 1/2-inch slices
- 1/2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of broccoli soup
- 2 Tbsp. dried minced onion
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen chopped broccoli, thawed and well drained
- 1 c. shredded Swiss cheese
- Line unbaked pie shell with a double thickness of foil.
- Bake at 450u0b0 for 8 minutes. Remove foil.
- Bake 4 to 6 minutes more or until golden brown.
- Remove from oven; set aside. Reduce oven temperature to 375u0b0.
- Meanwhile, in a large skillet, cook sausage and mushrooms. Drain.
- In a medium bowl, combine egg, soup, onion and pepper. Stir in sausage mixture, broccoli and 3/4 cup of the cheese.
- Pour mixture into the baked shell.
- Bake at 375u0b0 for 40 to 50 minutes or until knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- Let stand about 10 minutes.
- Makes 6 main dish servings.
