Homemade Rolls
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 pkg. fast active yeast
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3 c. flour
- 2 eggs
- 3 1/2 c. flour
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 c. softened lard
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 3 oz. cream cheese
- 1/2 stick margarine
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. milk
- powdered sugar
- Combine first 3 ingredients; let stand 10 minutes.
- Add remaining water, sugar and 3 cups flour; mix for a couple of minutes, then add eggs, 3 1/2 cups flour and salt.
- Cover and let stand 20 minutes.
- Knead and place in a greased bowl; let rise until double.
- Shape into rolls.
- When double bake at 375u0b0 until brown.
- This is good for cinnamon rolls too.
