Holiday Double Onion Stuffing

  1. In large skillet, brown bacon lightly.
  2. Drain off all but 2 tablespoons drippings.
  3. Add apples and celery; cook until tender. Remove from heat.
  4. Add onions, stuffing and almonds and mix well. Mix eggs, water, thyme and broth.
  5. Pour over stuffing and mix well.
  6. Spoon into 8 x 12-inch greased pan or baking dish.
  7. Cover and bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes, then add Durkee onions to top of stuffing.
  8. Bake 5 minutes and serve.
  9. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
