Gratin Of Leeks, Bacon And Cheddar
- 10 slices bacon
- 6 3/4 cups leeks small
- 1 cup broth
- 2 tablespoons grain mustard
- 2 tablespoons clotted cream
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar
- 3 tablespoons breadcrumbs
- olive oil
- Preheat the oven to 190 u0b0C.
- Peel the leeks, wash them.
- Cut them into sections of 4 cm.
- Heat a frying pan, with a tablespoon of olive oil, and fry the bacon cut into small pieces so it becomes golden.
- Add directly to the pan and cook the leeks over low heat to make them more tender.
- Add the stock and mustard and continue cooking for 10 minutes.
- Add the cream and most of the grated cheese (do not hesitate to remove a little of the cooking liquid before adding the cream if there is too much).
- Place the vegetables in a baking dish, then cover with the breadcrumbs, remaining cheese and a little olive oil. Bake for 20 minutes so they will be well browned.
