Portuguese Beans

  1. Slice and saute linguica; add sirloin.
  2. Pour off fat.
  3. Saute onion, mushrooms, bell pepper and garlic.
  4. Add to meat and let simmer.
  5. Salt and pepper to taste.
  6. In a large slow cooker or stew pot, add all ingredients and simmer for 2 to 3 hours.
  7. Add 5 to 6 slices of bacon in the last hour.
