Chocolate Doughnuts With Xocai Healthy Dark Chocolate
- 2 cups milk scalded
- 1/2 cup potato flakes
- 1/2 cup shortening shortening-cut into the flour
- 4 cups flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons yeast dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water- water is warm enough when you can hold your fingers under hot tap without pulling them away
- 5 whole eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate "Xocai Healthy Chocolate Activ Powder"
- Mix scalded milk with potato flakes; cool to room temperature.
- In separate bowl, cut shortening into the flour.
- To the potato flakes mixture, add sugar, yeast mixture, eggs, salt, flour mixture, and "Xocai Activ."
- Beat for 10 minutes.
- Let rise 15-30 minutes.
- Roll out dough and form into doughnut shapes.
- Fry in deep fat fryer at 375 degrees until golden brown.
