Butterscotch Pinwheels
- 1 c. chocolate chips
- 2 Tbsp. Crisco
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. butterscotch chips
- 2 Tbsp. Crisco
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- Melt chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons Crisco in double boiler over boiling water.
- Add sweetened condensed milk, flour and the vanilla.
- Spread in 15 x 10 x 1-inch jelly roll pan which has been greased lined with wax paper and greased again.
- Bake at 325u0b0 for 8 minutes.
- Immediately turn chocolate base out onto a towel which has been sprinkled with confectioners sugar.
- Melt 1 cup butterscotch chips and 2 tablespoons in top of double boiler over boiling water.
- Spread over chocolate base and sprinkle with the 1/2 cup chopped walnuts.
- Roll up, starting with the 15-inch side. Wrap and store in refrigerator.
- To serve, cut in 1/4-inch slices. Makes about 5 dozen.
