Bulk Ko Ki (Ryan'S)
- 1 pound beef sirloin THINNLY SLICED, Skirt, Tenderloin, or Rib Eye
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons broth KOREAN-, /SOUP-SOYSAUCE, GUK GAN-JANG
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons corn syrup or-HONEY
- 3 cloves garlic smashed
- 1/2 white onion Sliced and divided
- 1/4 pear SHINGO, or regular Pear
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons sesame seed GROUND
- 2 tablespoons rice wine /SAKE
- 3 green onions sliced into 2-3 in pieces
- 1 cup rice White Jasmine or brown
- Slice 1lb beef very thin and set aside - possible to find meet already sliced
- In a blender, puree the pear, 3 garlic cloves and 1/4 onion (sliced)
- In a bowl, Add 3 TBSP of the puree to the beef
- Add 2 TBSP soy sauce, 2 TBSP soup soy sauce, 2 TBSP sesame oil, 2 TBSP ground sesame seeds, 2 TBSP sugar, 2 TBSP corn syrup (or honey) and mix all ingredients well with the meat. (Use your hands)
- Add sliced scallions and sliced onions and combine with the meat/marinade mixture.
- Cover bowl with Saran Wrap and marinate 30 min (minimum). nvernight for best results.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. When very hot, add 1 TBSP oil to pan then add the meat and onions (not the scallions.)
- Saute the sliced onions with the beef, seasoning with cracked black pepper. Simmer for 3 min (till cooked through)
- Serve hot with rice!
