Barbecued Ribs
- 2 to 3 lb. pork spareribs or country style ribs
- onion slices
- lemon slices
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 c. tomato sauce
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- Cut ribs into 2-rib serving sections; place meaty side up in roasting pan.
- On each section place a slice of onion and lemon. Melt butter in saucepan; saute onion in butter until tender.
- Add remaining ingredients; bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes. Pour sauce over meat; roast in a 350u0b0 oven for 1 1/2 hours or until done, basting 4 or 5 times.
- Or you may roast ribs for about an hour, then pour sauce over them and baste.
