Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 c. uncooked regular oatmeal
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. Hershey's Milk Chocolate bar, chopped (about 3 1.55-oz. candy bars)
- 1 1/2 c. pecans, coarsely chopped
- Process oats in a blender or food processor until ground like flour.
- Beat butter and sugars at medium speed with an electric mixer until fluffy.
- Add eggs and vanilla; beat until blended. Combine ground oats, flour, and next 3 ingredients.
- Add to butter mixture, beating until blended.
- Stir in chocolate and pecans. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake in batches at 375u0b0 for 8 to 10 minutes, or until light golden brown.
- Cool on racks.
