Cheesy Sausage Grits
- 1 package Jimmy Dean(R) Premium Pork Sausage Original
- 1 cup stone ground grits
- 2 1/2 cups chicken broth or water
- 1 1/2 cups milk divided
- 2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing mix
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- salt
- pepper
- Turn Instant Pot on Saute setting. Cook Jimmy Dean(R) Premium Pork Sausage until no longer pink, breaking up sausage as it cooks.
- Turn Instant Pot off. Stir in stone ground grits, chicken broth, 1 cup milk, Ranch seasoning and garlic powder.
- Close lid, lock pot, select "Manual" setting and 10 minutes cooking time. Perform a natural pressure release for 10 minutes, then release quick release any remaining pressure.
- Stir in remaining 1/2 cup milk and cheese. Stir until cheese is melted. Check seasoning and add salt and/or pepper to taste.
- Serve immediately.
