Easy Apple Dessert
- 2 medium apples
- 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. each cinnamon and nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 egg
- 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. honey
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
- 1/2 c. raisins
- Cut the apples in half, core, slice thinly and don't peel apples.
- Drop slices into a bowl of cold water.
- Set aside. Combine flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
- Mix well. Beat the egg in a medium bowl.
- Stir in brown sugar, honey and vanilla.
- Blend in well drained apples and the flour mixture.
- Mix well.
- Fold in walnuts and raisins.
- Spread mixture evenly in a greased 9-inch pie plate.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes.
- Serve hot, topped with French vanilla ice cream.
- Makes one 9-inch pie plate, 4 servings.
