South Indian Filter Cofee / Degree Coffee / Madras Kaapi
- 4 coffee powder
- 3/4 cup water
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- filter coffee Traditional, brewer
- How to make decotion : nnAllow required water to boil.
- Add 4 tbsp of coffee powder in the perforated upper container and fix it to the lower container of the traditional filter.
- Place the umbrella plate (provided with the filter) above the coffee powder by pressing very gently.nour the boiling water above the umbrella plate and stop when the water reaches the rim of the upper container.
- Immediately close the upper container with the lid to lock the aroma.neave it undisturbed for minimum 20 minutes to maximum 30 minutes.
- The decotion will get collected in the lower container of the filter. This is the first degree decotion that can be used for strong degree coffee.nor the second batch of decotion, repeat the process of adding boiling water to the upper container and leaving it for another 20-30 minutes.
- Mix the first & second decotion and prepare coffee with the fresh decotion or refrigerate with a pinch of sugar for a day or two.
- How to make filter coffee:
- Froth the milk with sugar until sugar dissolves.
- Pour the decotion into the tumbler (glass), add the milk and froth for once or twice.
- Sip and enjoy the aroma !!
