Cocoa Cream Pie

  1. Prepare pastry shell
  2. and
  3. cool.
  4. In
  5. a medium saucepan stir together the sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt.
  6. Gradually stir in milk.
  7. Cook
  8. over
  9. medium heat stirring constantly until mixture is thickened and bubbly.
  10. Boil 1 minute;
  11. remove from heat. Gradually stir
  12. about half of the hot filling into yolks.
  13. Return all to saucepan;
  14. bring to a gentle boil.
  15. Cook and stir 1 minute. Remove
  16. from
  17. heat.
  18. Stir
  19. in
  20. butter
  21. and vanilla.
  22. Pour into pastry shell.
