Fattet Hummus
- 2 cups chickpeas already soaked and boiled, until tender. You may use two cans of chickp
- 3 loaves pita bread white or wheat flour
- 2 cups chickpeas boiled water
- 1 cup yogurt
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 cup tehini
- 1 clove crushed garlic
- pepper
- pine nuts Fried, or Almonds for garnish. You may use finely cut
- Bake the pita bread chips until golden in color. Place in a deep dish You can still fry the bread in oil until golden brown but this will make your recipe higher in calories and fat.
- To make the sauce, add yogurt, Tahini, Lemon juice, Salt, Garlic and the Hot chili peppers if you are using them. Mix to a smooth finish. You do not need an electric mixer for this step, a whisk or a fork would do
- Heat up the chickpeas with the water until boiling
