Waffle Candied Bacon Sundae
- 2 waffles each, prepared
- 1 scoop vanilla ice cream
- 1 tablespoon caramel sauce
- 1 tablespoon candied bacon prepared*
- 1 whipped cream rosette
- 1 orange slice each
- 2 raspberries each
- 1. In oven, set on low, place waffles
- 2. Warm until heated through and beginning to brown (do not flip)
- 3. In center of plate, place one waffle, toasted side down In center of waffle, place vanilla ice cream
- 4. With toasted side up, shingle second waffle on ice cream
- 5. Drizzle caramel sauce in a zig-zag over waffles and ice cream
- 6. Evenly sprinkle candied bacon over caramel sauce, waffles and ice cream
- 7. In corner of plate, place orange slice and top with the raspberries and whipped cream
- Candied Bacon can be closely replicated by cooking "thick-cut sugar-cured" bacon until crisp. While still warm, rough chop the bacon and sprinkle it with granulated sugar, approximately 1 TBL for every 2-3 slices.
