Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1/2 c. margarine, softened
- 1/2 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 c. granulated white sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 tsp. water
- 1/2 c. Egg Beaters
- 1 c. whole wheat flour
- 1 c. all-purpose unbleached flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- Preheat the oven to 375u0b0.
- In a large bowl, combine the margarine, sugars, vanilla and water.
- Beat the eggs.
- In another bowl, combine the flours, baking soda and salt.
- Gradually add this to the wet ingredients, blending well.
- Stir in the chocolate chips and the nuts.
- Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto Teflon or ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake until golden brown, about 8 to 10 minutes.
- Yield:
- 3 dozen cookies, 2-inches in diameter.
