Chocolate Breadsticks
- 8 cups flour type '0'
- 1 1/8 tablespoons salt
- 2 1/8 cups water
- 3 1/8 tablespoons lard
- 1 tablespoon malt
- 2 1/2 tablespoons yeast brewer's
- 1 13/16 cups chocolate chips
- coarse salt Crushed
- Place all the ingredients, except the yeast and the chocolate, in the mixer bowl and turn on the mixer to begin kneading.
- After 7 minutes, add the yeast and the chocolate.
- Knead for a total of 15 minutes, increasing the speed in the last 4 minutes.
- Shape the dough into a loaf and let it rest, covered, for 30 to 40 minutes.
- Cut the loaf into small pieces and roll out each piece with your hands into breadsticks. Sprinkle the outside with some crushed coarse salt.
- Let the breadsticks rest for 20 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 230C.
- Bake for approximately 10 minutes.
- Remove the breadsticks from the oven and cool.
