Sesame Breadsticks

  1. In a bowl, pour the flour, sugar, baking powder, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
  2. Stir, and add the sesame seeds.
  3. Pour the water in the center, and mix with your hands to make a smooth paste.
  4. If the dough is too dry, add a little bit of water (it depends on the flour).
  5. On a floured surface, knead your dough to make it more flexible.
  6. Place in a clean bowl, cover with a moist cloth, and let it rise for about 45 minutes until double in volume.
  7. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  8. Place the dough on a floured surface, and press it with the palm of your hand to expel any air.
  9. Make a ball with the dough.
  10. Divide into 4 balls, and then divide each quarter into 8 balls.
  11. Roll out each ball to a 15 centimeter long dough sausage.
  12. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  13. Place in oven, and turn over after 20 minutes of baking.
  14. Bake for a total of 30 minutes, until crispy and golden.
  15. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
