Easy Granola Bars
- 1 1/2 cups oats
- 1/2 cup coconut shreds
- 1 cup Honey Nut Cheerios
- 1 pinch nutmeg & cinnamon
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup honey mabye a little bit more -
- 1/2 cup brown sugar or less-
- 1 pinch salt
- chocolate chips
- Preheat you oven to 350 F
- Spread your dry ingrediance out on a baking dish. That would include (coconut shreds, honeynut Cheerios, and oats.) let bake at 350 F for 5-10min. Then take out and mix again. Then put it back into the oven for another 5-10min.
- as your dry ingredients are toasting make your wet ingredients. In a sauce pan melt butter on medium/low heat. Then add your brown sugar, vanilla extract, and honey or maple syrup. And a pinch of salt.
- Once your wet mixture is complete. mix it into the dry ingredients. (This is where you can add rasins, cranberries, or even choclate chips. Keep mixing. (You may just want to add the choclate chips to the top cause they'll probably melt otherwise).
- Then place it in any size container you want and press down firmly. Wet your hand with a little water so the honey doesn't stick to you fingers. And let sit in the fridge for 1-2 hours.
- Enjoy!
